What it Really Takes to Achieve Your Goals

While I’m probably biased, because I created this tool, my desire is that when I share the following steps with you, it provides the ‘aha’ you need to nail your goals!

I believe that by keeping this particular path to goal achievement in mind you’ll have an easier time of it as you’ll be able to recognize the stages of your journey and accept them for what they are – simply a stage you’re at.

STEP 1 – “I wish”…
Yes, the journey begins with a single step. A clearly defined goal that is in alignment with what you genuinely desire will get you started in the right direction.

STEP 2 – “I want to”…
This stage is where you solidify your “why”. Wants are great – “whys” are powerful. The more reasons you have the greater the fuel supply to get you there.

STEP 3 – “I plan to”…
The point which the train often leaves the track! All your “stuff” really starts to surface here, (if it hasn’t already), and mastering this part of the process is crucial to your success.

STEP 4 – “I will”…
As momentum is gained, from some success and positive indicators along the way, a new sense of ‘can do’ and confidence kicks in.

STEP 5 – “I am”…
Belief built on the assurance of trust in yourself, and your outcome is the tipping point of achievement. Rock-solid certainly helps you own this final piece.

Take any goal – weight loss for example – and apply the above ‘thought process’ to the experience you’ve had with attempting to or successfully losing weight. Did you say any of this to yourself as you were in the middle of it? Did you quit at one of the early stages?
